File system data structures of a drive have suffered serious corruption or overwriting and data recovery software cannot scan such drives. Trying to select a hard drive to scan for bad sectors only results in selecting ONE, and it is impossible to change to another one. It is impossible to perform a scan on several drives at once. Selecting another hard drive while scan is in progress will result in the hard drives jumping around in the list; unable to select another one.
